Philadelphia: Published By Anthony Finley, N.E. Corner Of Fourth And Chestnut Streets. Clark & Raser, Printers, 33 Carter's Alley. MDCCCXXIV.

Pub Note:
Probably the first U.S. celestial atlas. Issued by Finley in the same year as his first terrestrial atlas, 1824, this was probably intended to accompany it, although it is never listed in Finley's catalogue. The advertisement page states: "The plates have been faithfully reduced from those in the last edition of the magnificent Atlas of Bode, published in Germany a few years since..." There is a second illustrated title page. The author has inscribed this copy to his cousin, R.S. M'Cullah (sp.?). Full color.
