The Russian absolute monarchy is illustrated by scenes of cutting hemp, stripping flax, and flax in bloom. Siberia, the Russian possession, shows convicts at work in the mine with guarding soldiers and shackles and ice, and a polar bear. The republic of Uruguay has a focus on agriculture: cattle, hides, tallow and maize (corn). Australia, the British colony, shows a gold rocker, black swan, sheep, and kangaroo.
