The first edition was published in 1812. This second edition includes much updated material described by Lapie in the introduction. The North America map has been updated to show some of the Lewis and Clark mapping. These maps are similar to the maps Lapie made for the Malte Brun Atlas of 1812, but they do not have the vignettes. All the maps have the date of 1816 under the title. Outline color, some folded. Covers are half leather teal marbled paper covered boards with no title.
