Revised and enlarged 1913 edition of historical atlas of the world and the Ottoman Empire, in Ottoman script and Arabic. It was issued by Mehmed Esref since the beginning of the 20th. century (1906?), This edition published a year after Esref’s death in 1912 with newly engraved maps, all different from the previous publication. Covers mostly the Ottoman Empire regions, Balkans, adjacent regions of the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Consists of 11 pages of timeline table, 4 pages of index and 138 maps in 32 double page plates of color lithographed maps. Showing political and administrative boundaries, major cities, capitals, rivers and lakes. Last maps represent the routes of the famous explorers, the historical colonies, the British colonies in the World, Asia, United States, Africa and South America. Includes old scribbles and annotations on the front endpapers, old stamp on the title page, some sporadic old annotations on the pages. Bound in embossed light blue cloth covered boards, with title on front cover.
