This atlas was first issued in 1824, with editions published annually to 1834. Each succeeding year new maps were added and others updated. This copy has the 1831 edition of Atlas Classica bound in back, a common feature in later editions. The New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia maps are double page. Maps of Liberia and Florida are added. Covers half leather, marbled paper covered boards with "Finley's Modern & Ancient Atlas." stamped in gold on the spine.
